SoNoRo – Interferences is an educative programme, designed for young Romanian musicians.

The programme will start in 2007 within the Sighisoara Summer Academy, where some of the artists of SoNoRo Festival are invited to give masterclasses.

Further to a selection, most promising young talents from Romania will be granted scholarships. The winners will benefit on one hand from the scholarship that will cover their participation at the mastrclasses, and on the other hand they are invited to perform at several concerts along with the well known artists of the SoNoRo Festival. Apart from a concert within the Sighisoara Summer Academy, they will be invited to participate also at one of the concerts of the SoNoRo Festival , at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest.

By establishing direct contact with some of the most sought after European artists, SoNoRo – Interferences will be a premiere at national level that aims at the improving the level of the young musicians and the boroadening of the cultural horizon in an accessible European context. Thus long term opportunities and contacts will be created.

An extension of the SoNoRo – Interferences initiative is planned for 2008, at large scale, by creation of an yearly academy that will allow for a larger number of pupils and students to have the opportunity to take advantage of the educational experiences at higher level. The academy will perform ist activity in different locations across the country, some being rehabilitated historic monuments, aming to create an exceptional cultural space.
